Sure, Ginger is a beautiful Husky—but she’s got so much more to her than her good looks! The perfect balance of sensitive and fun-loving, Ginger is the type of dog who needs a minute to decide if you’re a friend—but once you’re friends, you’re friends for life. She’s looking for a family who’s ready to provide her with lots of games, fun and exercise in order to keep her busy and happy!

Big fan of: Playing games! According to her previous family, if there is a game to be played you can count Ginger in. Whether it’s playing tug, chasing after tennis balls or gnawing on a squeaky toy or bone, Ginger knows how to have a good time. The only thing Ginger may love more than having fun alone is having fun with her people. Once she considers you a friend, Ginger is quite a little lovebug. According to her previous family, Ginger could often be found following them from room to room! She also loves going for walks. Both slow meanders and brisk jogs are a-okay with this gal!

Working on: Her confidence with new people! This pup clearly loves her human friends, but she can definitely be a little shy in the beginning. Give Ginger some time to get acquainted with you—and maybe hand her a few pieces of her favorite treat, chicken, too—and soon Ginger will be your BFF. Speaking of chicken, Ginger is a smart girl who will do anything for a taste of her favorite snack! She reportedly already knows sit, come, stay, down, shake and heel and would love to learn more tricks!

Dream home: Ginger would be a great fit for a family who can provide her with lots of enrichment and physical and mental stimulation! Because she can sometimes forget to keep all four paws on the ground when excited, older kids—for example, those ages eight and up—would probably be the best fit. She’s previously lived well with a cat and would love to meet potential doggy friends one-on-one with the help of our staff!
