Sometimes a kitty comes to the ASPCA Adoption Center and every staff member and volunteer falls in love with them—right now, that kitty is Jasper. This big boy has been in the shelter for quite some time and has made strides in becoming a confident cat during his stay! Upon his arrival, Jasper let his shy side take over and preferred to hide when approached—but now, this sweet boy readily trots up to his friends and lets out a great big “meow” to ask for attention! Give him a little love and Jasper happily leans into your hands, rolls on his side and starts kneading with his front paws.

Jasper has a complicated medical history, but looking at how happy and sweet he is you would never know. Our veterinarians would be happy to speak with any interested adopters about how to keep Jasper happy and healthy, as well as the details and cost of the special prescription diet he will need to continue to eat in his new home.

Jasper can be a little nervous when in new places, so his adopter should understand that he will need time and confinement to settle in before showing his true personality. Jasper would prefer a quiet home and seems happiest as the only resident feline. He will make a great companion for the right family—if you think that family may be yours, come meet him today!
