Canela

Meet Canela, a beautiful young dog who has a heart as big as her personality! This sweet girl came to us all the way from New Mexico due to the wildfires in July, and now she’s looking for a loving home of her own.

Canela is a vocal pup who loves to let you know when she’s ready for pets and attention. She’s happy to socialize with both familiar and new faces, greeting everyone with a soft, wiggly body and a happy tail. On walks around the neighborhood, she is a joy to be around, and she will say hello to everyone with her famous wiggles! Canela is a playful girl too, and she enjoys a good game of tug or chasing after her soft toys.

Canela has experienced some mild anxiety with us, but once she settles into her new home, she will be eager for an adventurous life! She would thrive with an active family who would like to include her in their adventures. She is a water-loving, nose-to-the-ground explorer who is making great strides with her leash skills, especially while wearing a harness. Canela has also shown great doggy manners in our playgroups, where she’s had fun bouncing around with a variety of other dogs. She’s respectful of her canine pals who would rather relax, happily co-existing with them when they’re not in the mood for play.
