Meet our precious little Pita! Before coming to the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she was living with many other dogs in a suspected cruelty situation. Since spending some time in our care, she has learned how exciting it is to explore the big wide world, and that people are so much fun to be with! Pita is a pint-sized, gentle girl who is now ready to find a home of her very own.

Big fan of: Playtime! Other dogs! Scratches behind the ear! Pita really loves to play, especially with other dogs. She adores being with her canine buddies, no matter how big or small. She has learned that people are great friends to have, too! Especially when they toss toys for her to catch in the yard, or when they give her long-lasting things to chew on, like bully sticks. Pita also really enjoys getting pets from her favorite humans, especially around her wonderfully expressive ears!

Working on: Her confidence. Pita can still be shy when meeting new people, and she might need some time to get to know someone. With some patience, she’ll soon be getting comfortable and cuddly with a new friend. When there are other dogs around, Pita feels more confident and learns the ropes from them as she settles into her new life.

Dream home: One with patient and loving adopters who will play with Pita as much as she wants! She hopes her new family will have lots of toys for her, give her gentle scratches and find opportunities for her to play with dog friends. She would be very happy to share her home with a doggy sibling, but she would also thrive as an only dog.
