Joey Teixeira
Senior Director of Philanthropy, Eastern Region
As the ASPCA’s Senior Director of Philanthropy for the Eastern Region, Joey Teixeira works with individual donors across 28 states, bringing over 10 years of animal welfare experience to his fundraising work. Joey started his career with the ASPCA at the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City in 2013 before transferring to the Philanthropy team in 2017. In his role at the Adoption Center, he oversaw client services and helped adopt out thousands of dogs and cats, while also acting as on-screen spokesperson for media opportunities to raise awareness of adoption need. Joey has experienced the impact of the ASPCA’s programs first-hand, and it motivates his current work to share his passion for animal welfare with like-minded donors.
Joey received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hunter College, and holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive credential from CFRE International. Joey currently lives in New York City with his husband and pets, including one dog and three cats: Lacey, Mr. Business, Quincy, and Magoo. Joey is an avid runner and likes to spend his time volunteering for various non-profits throughout the New York City area.
