Ava
Meet adorable Ava! Ava came to the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center in May, and she’s now ready to find a home of her own. She’s a fun, young dog who enjoys playful roughhousing with other dogs. She’s looking forward to finding an adopter who wants a beautiful girl like her!
Big fan of: Chasing and wrestling with her canine pals! Ava really enjoys treats like cheese, canned chicken and other tasty snacks, but her belly can be sensitive to novel foods, so we try to keep her on a balanced diet. When it’s time to relax, she is also happy to settle into her crate, and she likes car rides too! If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic dog who loves to play with dogs and her toys, then look no further than Ava!
Working on: Her confidence when being handled. Ava can be sensitive to new people reaching for her, but once she knows you, she’ll always want your attention and affection! Ava can also be sensitive to loud noises such as thunder. Ava is also working on her excitement when going on walks, which is easier to manage with a front clip harness, which can reduce her desire to pull. She is a Husky-mix, after all!
Dream home: One that is active and has a confident dog (or dogs), but she could also do well as a solo dog. She’s eager to go on your next adventure, whether that’s a walk or a hike, but she’d also be thrilled to lounge around with you while she snacks on tasty treats or plays with her toys.
