Memphis
Memphis is a bouncy, fun-loving young guy who can’t wait to meet you! He was rescued from a cruelty situation as a puppy, where he lived with many other dogs. He came to the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center to help build his confidence and prepare him for life in a home. While he was shy at first, Memphis has really blossomed into the life of the party and loves spending time with his closest human and dog friends. Now he is ready and excited to find a home with his very own people!
Big fan of: Dogs! Toys! Sniffing! Walks! Memphis adores playing with other dogs. He is a young dog who thrives on running around with doggy companions. He also loves treats—especially cheese! One of his favorite tricks is catching tossed cheese bits out of the air. Memphis loves a long walk where he can sniff every single thing along the way.
Working on: Being more comfortable around new people. Memphis can still be nervous around new people and will need some time to warm up before he is ready for cuddles. Once he knows someone, he becomes very playful with them and really enjoys scratches, too. An adopter who can help make him feel safe and allow him to get comfortable at his own pace would be wonderful. Memphis was rescued as a puppy and has never lived in a home or known the love of an adopter, so patience (and lots of cheese!) will be key to winning his heart.
Dream home: One with patient and dedicated adopters who understand that Memphis may need time to figure out how to be a dog. They’d also support him when he finds the world to be scary. Having a playful dog in his home to show him the ropes would be helpful, but even having dog friends who he visits frequently would also make him very happy. Memphis has a lot of puppy energy, so being able to run and play in a safe and confined environment would be a dream come true.
