Make Your Mom and Your Pets Smile with This Guide to a Pet-Safe Mother’s Day Bouquet
Mother’s Day is just days away, and we are so grateful for all the mothers and mother figures out there! There are so many ways to say “thank you” and celebrate all that our moms do, but the most common, go-to gift is a gorgeous bouquet of flowers.
If your mom, or anyone you may be gifting a bouquet to, is also a pet parent, it’s important to be mindful of the floral arrangement. Not all flowers are safe for pets, but don’t worry, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) has composed a list of pet-safe flowers you can feel free to include in any Mother’s Day bouquet in order to keep your furry friends safe, happy and healthy.
PLEASE NOTE: While these plants are considered pet-safe, since they are not part of a pet’s normal diet, any ingestion may cause mild stomach upset. It is best to keep any bouquets out of paw’s reach. If you are unsure of other flower's toxicity in your bouquet, use the full APCC plant list to check!
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the ASPCA!
