NEW YORK – For the fourteenth year in a row, the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) has been selected as a national charity partner in the Subaru Share the Love® Event to help thousands of animals in need across the country.

From November 18, 2021, through January 3, 2022, Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle, purchased or leased, to the customer’s choice of participating charities. The ASPCA is one of four national charities which customers can choose to support through this campaign.

Since 2008, Subaru has donated more than $28 million to the ASPCA through the Subaru Share the Love Event, which has strongly supported the rescue, transport, and adoption of more than 74,000 animals nationwide.

Through its participation in the Subaru Share the Love Event, the ASPCA provides grant funding to local animal welfare organizations around the country to help find loving homes and provide critical services for animals in need, including microchips, vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgeries.

“As we enter the 14th year of the Subaru partnership, we’re as excited as ever to see the program support animal shelters and rescues in communities across America and help a wide range of vulnerable animals find the loving homes they need and deserve,” said Matt Bershadker, ASPCA president and CEO. “Helping more than 74,000 animals in need is an impressive reflection of the deep compassion and commitment shared by Subaru and the ASPCA.”

The generous donation received from last year’s Subaru Share the Love Event enabled the ASPCA to provide nearly $600,000 in grant funding to 155 animal welfare organizations across 42 states and Washington, D.C. throughout 2021. This funding has helped support community pet events in partnership with local Subaru retailers. In 2020, this collaborative grant program impacted nearly 9,200 animals nationwide, and the ASPCA and Subaru are committed to helping as many animals as possible again this year.
