We can’t wait to introduce you to Carson! Carson’s foster mom has so many good things to say about him that she’s pretty much written his bio for us. According to her, “Carson is a shy, but incredibly affectionate, spunky cat. He’ll need a few weeks to adjust when he first arrives, but once he feels comfortable, he won’t leave your side.” And, she’s not kidding! Carson’s foster mom went on to note that he often follows her from room to room, sitting on her lap as she works or lounges around. But Carson thinks that time can be spent much more fruitfully than just sitting around. He also loves to play! “Carson can amuse himself for hours chasing around his favorite plastic springs,” we’re told, “and when he’s tired out from playtime he loves taking naps cuddled next to his favorite human or on a sunny windowsill, getting lots of head scratches.” Carson is still getting used to visiting guests and loud sounds, but with lots of yummy treats has begun to realize that they’re not the worst thing in the world. You may find Carson bragging to you about how much progress he’s made, too, because boy, does this man like to chat!
Carson is looking for a family who understands that it will take him time to adjust to a new home. They should also be aware that our veterinarians have diagnosed him with feline asthma—but luckily, he’s not on any medications or special regimens at this time! Carson does err on the shy side—especially with loud noises and lots of ruckus—so he’d prefer a home with teens and up since small kids would probably be too rowdy for him. Dogs are a no-go for this dude, but other cats could potentially be okay! We know he’s lived with kitties previously, but we don’t have any information on how they did together—so, our Matchmakers would be happy to provide information on how to set up all your kitties for success!
