Say hello to Sardinia! As soon as he came in, this little man charmed the pants off of an ASPCA staff member so much so that she immediately took him home as a foster. His foster mom says that having him “has been awesome” and that he’s “a joy to have around!” Sardinia—who’s often referred to as Dini or Sardy by his foster mom—came to us from a home with lots of other cats, so he’s still getting used to having a relatively normal life with people. In his foster home, Sardinia was shy at first and “made friends with his environment before the people in it.” But, with time, Sardinia has begun to show his true colors!
According to his foster mom, Sardinia is a happy, very active boy who loves to let his voice be heard, particularly at night. Playtime is one of his favorite ways to pass the time and he seems to have a big affinity for fleece wand toys—even going so far as to carry them all around the room! When he isn’t busy asking to play, Sardinia can be found begging for food, headbutting his foster mom’s hands to ask for pets or admiring himself in the mirror—literally!
Sardinia is looking for an adopter who understands that he’s a little shy and that it will take time and confinement for him to adjust to any new home. Small kids may be too rowdy for Sardinia, so a home with children ages eight and up would be best. In his foster home, Sardinia has sometimes gotten along with his feline foster brother and sometimes hasn’t. If you’re considering Sardinia as a friend for your current kitty, our Matchmakers would be happy to provide details on proper cat-to-cat intros!
