Tortola

Wanna chat? Good, because Tortola’s here! Tortola is the type of gal who’s bound to bombard you with lots of questions about your day in the form of cute meows as soon as you step over the threshold. She can be a little hesitant at first when it comes to getting pets, but don’t let that reserved nature fool you! Leave your hand out for a minute, allow Tortola to initiate, and soon your fingers will be giving her more scratches than you ever thought possible. In the words of one of our Behavior Specialists, Tortola enjoys “loads of headbutting and petting” once she knows you’re a friend. When Tortola isn’t busy getting loved on, she enjoys chasing butterfly toys and munching down on any snacks she can get her paws on—and the fact that she only has one tooth doesn’t impede her one bit!

Tortola would like an adopter who understands that moving to a new home can be kind of scary and that she will need time and confinement before showing her true colors. Tortola has previously lived with many other cats and wasn’t a fan, so she’s excited for a home where she can be the kitty queen of the castle! We think that small kids may be too much for our sweet Tortola, so a home with children ages eight and up is this girl’s dream.
