Milly

Meet Milly—aka “Wiggle Butt!” Described by ASPCA staff as “an absolute angel,” this little tank of a dog greets everyone with a smile and full-body wiggle before forcing you to love on her—which, with a dog this sweet, isn’t so bad! If you have some scratches to give and a home or apartment in a suburban or rural place, Miss Milly may be the dog for you.

Big fan of: Cuddles! According to the ASPCA staff who know her best, Milly wants nothing more than to love on you and be loved in return. She adores anything and everything to do with people, especially getting belly rubs and squeezing into your arms! And, as you may guess by her stature, Milly is an expert at lounging around, too. She’s been a bit of a couch potato at the Adoption Center and can’t wait to go to a home where there’s a real couch! But don’t worry—this smart girl is already housetrained and has no problems getting some exercise with a walk when it’s time for a bathroom break.

Working on: Learning that other dogs are okay, too. Milly’s been with the ASPCA for a good amount of time, and during her stay we’ve learned that other pups just aren’t her thing—and that’s okay! Whether on-leash or off-leash, Milly much prefers to spend her time with humans instead of other dogs. Walking routes where she’s more likely to be the only pup on the block and lots of delicious treats when she sees another dog would go a long way for Milly! There’s also one other thing Milly has made clear to us—city life isn’t for her. Particularly, Milly really doesn’t like passing cars—so, she’s looking for a home in a special place!

Dream home: Milly would do best with an adopter who can give her a little bit more training to become her best self! Because seeing lots of dogs and cars on city streets can be too stressful for Milly, her new home should be in a suburban or rural area. Cats and children may be new for Milly, but she knows that she would definitely prefer a home without other dogs or trips to the dog park please!
