Blake has been with the ASPCA for almost two months—coming into our care after having been through quite a lot. Now, he’s finally ready to say hello to a new home! Blake is truly a sweet boy with a shy exterior. He can be nervous in new places and around new people, but when given the time and space he needs to settle in Blake blossoms—and time in a foster home has proven that. According to his foster dad, Blake is an independent guy who isn’t the type to be all over you, all the time. Don’t let his independence fool you—Blake has a big loving side, too! Following his foster dad around is one of Blake’s favorite hobbies—next to getting pets. Blake likes attention on his terms and headbutts you when he wants some gentle head scratches or belly rubs. When he isn’t busy getting showered in love, Blake enjoys curling up in a cozy nook to rest!
Blake is looking for an adopter who understands that he will need confinement and time—likely several weeks—to adjust to his new home. Because small kids can be too rowdy for this sensitive man, he’d prefer a quiet home with teens and up. If you think Blake may be the boy for you, please fill out our Cat Adoption Survey!
