Looking for “Smore” Love? Help This Kitty Find a Home
Every now and then, we have an animal in our care who needs a little extra help finding a loving home. This week, we’d like to shine our Adoption Spotlight on a very special kitty named Smore. Sweet Smore has been kicking back at the ASPCA Adoption Center, but would really like a loving home to call his own. Perhaps Smore could be the right fit for your family or someone you know!
Smore first came to the ASPCA in November 2018. Since then he was adopted and sadly returned twice as the families were not a good fit for this special guy. But Smore remains optimistic that he will find the right family and a comfortable home to settle down in soon.
Smore has a special ability to become even more lovable as you get to know him! Initially, he can be shy around unfamiliar faces and in new spaces, but with time he will begin to open up and show off his playful personality. Smore loves playtime with any and all toys, and he especially enjoys batting around a wand toy with his favorite human friends. No toys available? No problem! This thrifty guy is just as happy playing with DIY toys like crumpled paper.
Smore certainly enjoys his “me time” and loves curling up in cozy nooks, taking some time to relax and unwind. He’ll happily pop out of his hiding spots for his favorite friends, a game or a tasty treat.
Smore is a lovable, sensitive soul who is looking to go to a quiet, adults-only home with no other animals and an experienced cat adopter who is willing to put in a little work to build a special bond with Smore. This sweet guy has had some trouble with his litter box habits in the past, but our Behavior team has found a setup that works well for him and will provide details to help set him up for success in his new home.
Smore is at the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City. If you are interested in adopting Smore, please contact us at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120 or drop into the Adoption Center to meet him. Even if you can’t adopt, you can help Smore today simply by sharing this post on your social media channels for your friends and family to see! With your help, we can find a great match for our boy Smore.
