Aioli

Everyone loves a big, orange cat—so it’s impossible not to love Aioli! When we say that Aioli is big, we’re not kidding. Currently weighing in at about 20 lb., Aioli is a foodie through and through. He loves nothing more than chowing down every chance he gets and even tries to sneakily steal food from plates, out of bags and from the garbage! Due to his size, Aioli is the type of kitty who needs to learn to love exercise. Currently, his favorite ways to burn some calories are by chasing laser pointers, batting plastic balls around and running to greet you at the door as soon as you get home. Aioli loves being near his people and enjoys head scratches and headbutting your hands to ask for them. Generally, he’s a very calm, sweet kitty!

Because Aioli is also considered extremely obese, his adopter should be ready to be an active participant in his weight loss journey. Our veterinarians have also diagnosed Aioli with a heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, usually abbreviated as HCM. Kitties with HCM often have to be on daily medication—but luckily, our board-certified cardiologist said that Aioli doesn’t need any medication at this time!
