Office Foster Cat

As part of our adoption program, some of our feline friends have the opportunity to live in ASPCA team members' offices. Living in an office allows cats to have a more comfortable and domestic living space, and allows our behaviorists to learn more about each individual kitty's personality and needs. Through the office foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new feline friend will adjust to life in a permanent home.

More About Him:

Spend just one moment with Arctic and he will quickly capture your heart! This playful kitty has a “puppy-like” nature, unlike almost any other cat. He loves to nuzzle people, politely asking for his head and neck to be stroked. Arctic is affectionate, friendly and gets along with everyone he meets. He is constantly making new friends!

This kitty has a wonderful temperament—he can be very mellow, content with lounging in his bed, or he might decide he’s up for some play time with his favorite cat dancer toy. Once he gets started chasing his toy, you can’t help but laugh and smile as his silly personality shines through!

Arctic is a bit wobbly when he walks due to an underdeveloped coordination center—a condition known as cerebellar hypoplasia. Despite his unsteadiness, Arctic gets around just fine! It would be best if his future adopters can provide him with an environment that is easy to navigate. Arctic moves best on carpeted surfaces and stairs are unsafe for this special kitty. Our Behavior team can speak with you further about providing a safe, enriching environment for Arctic. This sweet cat would do well living with another feline friend in a quiet home with kids ages 10-and-up.
