With his gorgeous black coat and adorable ears, it’s hard not to fall in love with this handsome dog! Tonic is a great walker who enjoys quality play time with his best friends.

Big fan of: Playing with his best friends! Tonic is very affectionate with people he knows, and takes some time to warm up to strangers. This playful pup loves to be pet and stroked and is always excited to play with his friends.

Not a fan of: Tonic does not like people around while he is eating or chewing on his bone, but our Behavior team will show you some exercises to help him learn to share.

Special features: This smart dog already knows his basic manners, ‘sit’ and ‘down’, and is a great walker! He will stay right by your side when out for a stroll. Tonic is interested in playing with other dogs, and just needs some time to learn how to play nicely. This dependable dog will bark when he hears the door knock. Tonic appears to be housetrained, but will need supervision at first as he adjusts to his new home. Tonic will need regular brushing and grooming to keep his coat looking beautiful.

Dream home: An experienced adopter who can treat Tonic to some daily exercise would be a great fit for this energetic dog. He should be okay going to a home with kids 10-and-up. Tonic may do well with respectful younger children, but should meet them at the Adoption Center first.
