The Search for a Home Doesn’t Stop for ASPCA Adoptable Cats in Los Angeles!
The health and safety of the community, the animals in our care, and our staff during this uncertain time are our top priorities here at the ASPCA. While many of our operations have changed and many animal shelters across the nation close their doors temporarily, we hope your hearts are still open!
Homeless animals across the country still need loving homes, and we currently have an urgent need for loving cat adopters in the Los Angeles area.
As COVID-19 continued to spread, we moved all of our adorable L.A. adoptable cats to temporary foster homes where they can benefit tremendously from spending time in a home, and comfortably wait for that special someone to spot them. But our Foster Program isn’t the end of their journeys. It’s just a step along the way to a home full of love and security—and you can help them make this home a reality!
Since we aren’t able to host our usual adoption events, these cats may not get the usual “face time” with the public to show off their personalities and showcase their special skills to potential adopters. But, although you cannot meet these kitties physically right now, you can meet them virtually from the comfort of your couch! Take a look at some of our cuddly cats available in L.A. on our website and get more information on how to adopt. Over the next few weeks, we will have many new kitty friends up on our website, so be sure to check back if you don’t see someone who caught your eye right away.
To follow social distancing guidelines, we're facilitating "contact-free adoptions" by hosting virtual meet-and-greets with potential adopters and foster parents. If a match is made, we're offering to use a ride-share service to send adopted cats to their new homes.
Below, you’ll see just some of the handsome and charming faces who are looking to be your new BFF. If you’re experiencing more time at home and are able to adopt, now could be the perfect time to connect with a new feline friend.
Even if you can’t adopt, share this post with your family and friends through social media to help our L.A. cats get more visibility!
