There is not one mean bone in Emily’s body—she’s always happy to get pets from and cuddle up with friends and strangers alike. This pretty pittie loves playtime with rope toys and getting out for walks. She’s also super smart—she’s been reported to know sit, stay, come and is already housetrained!

Emily does struggle with anxiety in new places, so it may take a couple of weeks for her to get through the initial transitional stress of being in a new home, but trust us, the wait is worth it! Plus, our ASPCA Adoption Center staff has lots of tips and tricks to share.

Emily would do best in a private home in the New York City area with kids ages eight and up, and a patient adopter with a flexible schedule willing to help her enjoy alone time. She could live well as a solo dog or with another calm pup.
