As our response efforts in North Carolina continue one month after Hurricane Helene’s devastation, many people have been left without habitable homes and are camping on their properties or staying with family and friends for the foreseeable future. To help with housing for pets and to further support community members who sustained significant property losses, our partners at ASPCA® Pet Health Insurance have graciously donated $25,000 to help purchase dog houses for those in need.

These dog houses will provide shelter for indoor/outdoor dogs as well as those who lived indoors previously but their homes have since been damaged.

We are so thankful for the support provided by our strategic partners at ASPCA Pet Health Insurance. Together, we’re united by a shared commitment to ensuring the well-being of animals and working toward a future where all pets can lead healthier, happier lives.

In addition to these efforts, our teams continue to operate the emergency shelter in Conover, North Carolina, and are working to reunite missing pets with their families.
