Have you been considering adding a furry friend (or two!) to your family? Now is your chance! This Saturday, July 23, hundreds of shelters nationwide will participate in an exciting “Clear the Shelters” event. Participating organizations will reduce or completely waive their adoption fees to help connect adoptable animals in their care with safe and loving homes.

Our Adoption Center, located in New York City, will take part in the event, waiving all adoption fees for dogs and cats on Saturday, July 23. If you are planning on coming to our Adoption Center in NYC, please take a moment to read our adoption requirements, so you can come prepared. Our Adoption Center opens at 11 AM and closes at 7 PM. We encourage all potential adopters to please come at least an hour before our Adoption Center closes.

The ASPCA has also provided support for the event in the form of grant funding to a select number of participating organizations across the country. “Clear the Shelters” is sponsored by the NBCUniversal-Owned Television Stations division of NBC Universal and Telemundo.
