Nemo came into our care from a suspected cruelty situation, and while her journey hasn’t always been easy, nothing slows her down! She is focused on her future — one filled with playtime, snuggles and love. Her resilience and spirit shine through every day! Nemo is looking for a calm, patient home that will help her continue to build confidence and trust.

While she has come a long way through training and socialization, Nemo can still be a bit nervous around new people or in unfamiliar environments. Once she warms up, she loves to lean in for neck scratches and show off her sweet, goofy and loyal side. Lovingly described by our team as "socially awkward in the cutest way," this special girl just needs a little time and patience to let her true colors shine. She’s highly motivated by treats and toys, and with a little encouragement, she blossoms into a playful, affectionate companion.

While staying in a foster home recently, Nemo showed just how much she enjoyed home living! She loved cuddling on the couch and playing with her canine foster brother. She was also incredibly respectful of the resident senior pup who wasn’t interested in play. She even did well with the cats in the home — Nemo is officially cat-approved!

Nemo is also a total pro in our doggy playgroups! She has participated in more playgroups than we can count and has truly found her groove with other dogs who enjoy rough-and-rowdy play. Whether it’s a game of chase or a happy bark-along with her canine pals, Nemo’s energy is infectious, and her joy is undeniable. She would thrive with a confident canine sibling who could help show her the ropes and become comfortable in her new home.
