Our best boy Balto is laid-back, sweet as can be, and devastatingly handsome! Balto has captured the heart of everyone he knows, and he’s certain to capture yours too!

Balto the gentle giant likes things at a slower pace and the freedom to choose when he wants pets and attention. With that said, he is known to enjoy light pets and soft brushing.  During on-leash walks, he’s a dream pup with perfect manners and frequently checks in with his person.

Here at the Cruelty Recovery Center, Balto has been very brave and done well on field trips, but he has some mild fear towards unfamiliar men. He has several dog friends he plays with but prefers calm dogs who can give him space when requested. His favorite ways to relax are chewing on a bone, going on a stroll and even watching TV. Due to his size and nature, he would do best in a home on the quieter side where he can explore the world at his own pace, with you by his side, helping him build his confidence.
