Meet Bali, our little panda bear with a big heart!

Bali is a wonderful girl who was rescued by the NYPD before transferring to the Cruelty Recovery Center for a second chance! Since arriving, she’s quickly become a staff favorite for her goofy zoomies, big personality and sweet love for her people.

While Bali is super affectionate with people she knows, she can initially be a little hesitant with someone new. But once she warms up, which doesn’t take long, she’s all love, fun and cuddles. A patient, dog-savvy home would be perfect to help her continue building her confidence.

Recently, Bali went on a hotel sleepover with a volunteer, and she did a great job! Since it was a new environment, she needed some time to settle down, but once she did, she made herself right at home. She showed off that she’s housetrained, did great in the car, played with her toys and chewed on a bully stick. She even met lots of new people, including an older child, with nothing but tail wags and polite greetings.

Bali is the kind of dog who gives her all in everything she does, whether it’s tug-of-war, fetch, cuddles or trick training. In fact, Bali just earned the official title of Novice Trick Dog! To accomplish that, she mastered 15 different tricks, such as sit, place, down, paw, wait, drop it and more — all while in a shelter environment. We’re so proud of this girl and can’t wait for her to show off her smarts to her new family!

Bali also loves to play with other dogs and is a total star in our doggy playgroups! She enjoys rough-and-rowdy or chase-style play with her canine pals and is fantastic at reading their body language. She also helps teach puppies how to socialize thanks to how patient and playful she is with younger pups. Plus, she can called over easily during play, which shows the impulse control she's worked so hard to build.
