Who’s that pretty dog? It’s Squirtle!

When Squirtle first came to the Behavior Rehabilitation Center (BRC), she wasn’t so sure about people. Over time, she has discovered that humans have amazing things to offer! They have laps for sitting in and hands for petting, so she’s decided that people are actually pretty great! Squirtle is seeking her own adopter’s lap to settle down in.

Big fan of: The finer things in life—sauntering on walks with friends, snacking on cheese, and snuggling on the couch. She also loves Nylabones, no matter how big they are! Squirtle has enjoyed the company of several other dogs here at the BRC but tends to prefer calmer dogs who won’t crowd her space.

Working on: Being less shy at first with new people. But she does warm up quickly with the help of her familiar people and yummy treats. She is looking for an adopter who is understanding, patient and willing to continue supporting her as she meets new people throughout her life.

Dream home: Squirtle would love a family that has plenty of snacks and lots of time for snuggles!
