Marigold

Meet Marigold! Since coming to the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center (BRC), Marigold has blossomed into an wonderfully affectionate pup. She has worked hard learning how to be a pet dog and building her confidence each and every day. She spent some time in a foster home with other dogs, and even a cat, and she stole the hearts of everyone in the home. She is looking for a dedicated adopter who will offer love, pets patience, more pets and treats! 

Big fan of: Playtime! Marigold is a young, energetic dog who benefits from daily exercise and enjoys playing with her friends, both canine and human alike. She would love an active home that is ready to teach her new tricks and take her on adventures. She happily engages with toys and enrichment items, too! After playtime, Marigold likes to cuddle up with people and take a nap on the couch. She has also done well with crate training and has stayed in her crate overnight or when her people left the house.

Working on: Her confidence. Marigold can be fearful when meeting new people or when she’s in new places, so going to a new home may be scary at first. She will thrive with a family who is dedicated to helping her feel safe, happy and loved, especially in the first few weeks. She is also working on some obedience skills, such as coming when called, so she is looking for an adopter who is ready and willing to work with her on reward-based training. Marigold has shown us that she has an affinity for learning new things, and her training sessions are always a fun time!

Dream home: Marigold’s dream home is one with a family who loves cuddles and playtime as much as she does! She may need some time to open up when she first arrives — but she’s worth the wait! Her silly personality quickly shines through and is sure to bring a smile to your face. She is looking for a dedicated adopter willing to put in the time and effort to continue working on her training and keep up with her energetic side. Marigold would make an easy addition to a multi-dog home, but she would also enjoy being your spoiled, one-and-only pup!
