Hettie

Ready, Settie, Hettie! Hettie is a striking, beautiful young dog with a lot of pizzazz to share with the world. She has made significant progress since arriving at the ASPCA Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, working hard on building her confidence each and every day. Hettie has shown us she has a silly and spunky personality and is now ready to show that off to a family of her own!

Big fan of: Action! Adventure! Adrenaline! Hettie is a busy young girl who likes to move her body and explore new places. Whether it’s exploring local trails, hitting up the dog park to play with other pups or working on brain-building puzzles and training activities, Hettie just enjoys staying active. But don’t worry — after her exercise and enrichment needs have been met, Hettie is happy to snuggle up on the couch, chew a bully stick and catch up on the latest shows with you!

Working on: Hettie continues to work on her confidence with new people. She has made great strides while in our care, and she will benefit from continuing this work with her adopter. Fortunately, Hettie is a big fan of treats and fun! Engaging in fun activities with new people, like going for a walk, playing with toys or dogs and eating tasty treats along the way, are great ways to build her confidence.

Dream home: Is your glove compartment full of local trail maps handy for your next adventure? Do you love to grab a coffee (and a puppuccino!) and head out for a nice walk on the weekend? If so, Hettie is ready to join you! Her dream home is with someone who likes to lace up their hiking shoes and head outside! Don’t worry if you’re not a big hiking fan — Hettie is also happy to take a stroll through the neighborhood and have a nice play session back at the house or local dog park! If you already have a canine companion and are looking for another playful friend, Hettie would love to be the little sister to your resident pup.
