Hamburglar

Meet Hamburglar! Handsome Hamburglar had a rough start in life and was brought to us from a hoarding situation. This made him unsure about new people and fearful, but through his time at the BRC, he’s really blossomed! Hamburglar is now a playful boy who loves to sniff and explore all that the world has to offer! 

Big fan of: Oh boy does he like cheese! Roll a piece of cheese across the floor and watch him chase it with a goofy grin! He also really enjoys the company of dogs, he’s just not as into rough and tumble play. 

Working on: He rides well in the car but sometimes needs a little guidance to get in. You can simply hop in the car, and he’ll follow right behind you. He may also be somewhat shy at first but give him some time (and some cheese), and he will be your best friend.  While he is tolerant of handling from new people, once he gets to know you, he’ll be leaning into you for more scratches (and you guessed it, cheese.) 

Dream home: Hamburglar would be thrilled to find a patient adopter who enjoys going for walks. He walks politely on his leash. When you get home from that stroll, he’d love a puzzle feeder to sort through to find his favorite snacks! He’d love a home with a dog friend, but he’d also do well as a solo dog. 

Hamburglar is looking to steal your heart and would love to find a patient adopter as he sorts through the initial transition and excitement of having a home, as it will be very new to him. However, he is currently heading to a foster home and will get some practice before heading your way.
