Charon
Here comes our beautiful rose of Charon! Charon is a sweet girl with a whole lot of heart. Charon was rescued from a property where she had been living with a lot of other dogs, and is now ready to find a home of her own!
Big fan of: Pets and scratches! Charon especially loves being scratched on her head. When you’re out on a walk with her, she will even bump your hand with her head to ask for pets along the way. Charon would love nothing more than to sit with her human friends all day, getting lots of pets!
Working on: Riding in a car. Due to some physical limitations, getting into a car can be difficult for Charon and the ordeal sometimes makes her a little anxious. Here at the Behavioral Rehabilitation Center, she has successfully ridden in a car several times, but she’ll likely need some practice getting comfortable with an new or unfamiliar car.
Dream home: With an adopter who appreciates a gentle, cuddle-loving lady! Charon has not lived in a home before, so she would do best with patient, gentle guidance to help her thrive in a new environment. She enjoys the company of other dogs but would prefer to live with calmer dogs
Charon is scheduled for total hip surgery this Fall. The surgery will be paid for by the ASPCA. Ideally, she would be adopted into your home before her surgery so that she can build a relationship with you prior to the recovery period.
