Rug Doctor® Pledges Continued Support of the ASPCA® and Animals in Need
DIY Brand’s Commitment Helps Give Animals at Risk a Fresh StartPLANO, Texas—Rug Doctor today announced its continued support of the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and to the fight against animal cruelty through its “Rug Doctor to the Rescue” (#RDToTheRescue) program. As part of its commitment, the carpet cleaning rental brand has pledged a minimum donation of $125,000 to the ASPCA this year. According to the ASPCA, 7 million companion animals enter shelters nationwide every year.
Building on its first year of support of the animal welfare organization in 2013, Rug Doctor again will donate up to $1 to the ASPCA for each specially marked coupon on its cleaning products redeemed now through July 31, 2014.
“We are thrilled to support the ASPCA’s mission for a second year and help the animals who need it most,” said Walter Haug, vice president of marketing at Rug Doctor. “The ASPCA is an excellent partner for Rug Doctor as 70 percent of our customers are pet parents. We received tremendous feedback from our employees and customers throughout the first year of the ‘Rug Doctor to the Rescue’ program, and we couldn’t be more delighted to build on last year’s successes with this great organization.”
Consumers can help Rug Doctor support the ASPCA by redeeming coupons on certain Rug Doctor products, which can be found at more than 30,000 retail locations nationwide on the Rug Doctor rental rack and retailers' cleaning product aisles. These Rug Doctor products are specifically designed for pet owners to help remove pet odors and stains on carpet and upholstery.
“We thank Rug Doctor for their continued commitment to our work helping animals across the country,” said Elysia Howard, vice president of marketing and licensing for the ASPCA. “Rug Doctor’s support will allow its customers to directly impact our national programs that make a difference for animals in need.”
