Causes of Seizures in Horses

Can yucca and glucuronic acid cause seizures in horses?

- Deb

We haven't heard of yucca and glucuronic acid causing seizures in horses, Deb. Luckily seizures are fairly uncommon in equines. However, reactions to drugs—and, on rare occasions, an injection—can cause them. If your horse experiences a seizure, it’s important to call your veterinarian immediately for a thorough exam, during which samples should be drawn for diagnostic testing.
