Tucker packed up all his bags in South Carolina and headed to the Big Apple to follow his dreams! A southern gentleman at heart, this transplant is working his way toward enjoying everything the city life has to offer. He’s on the hunt for an adopter who can give him a little training and teach him how to be a true New Yorker! Could that be you?
Big fan of: Lounging around! Tucker is a couch potato at heart and loves curling up for a good R&R sesh in any comfy spot he can find. And if his humans are there with him, even better! This guy adores spending all the time in the world with his friends and has no hesitation in walking right on up to you to let you know he’d like some pets! Don’t be surprised when this good boy leans his whole body into you for more. Tucker’s one goal in life is to please, and he would always love some affection in return!
Special features: Tucker is one smart guy! Fully housetrained, Tucker doesn’t even need wee-wee pads and will wait patiently to use the bathroom outside. And since arriving to New York City, he’s been making strides toward becoming a cool and confident pup! A lover, Tucker always likes to be around his human friends and can get a little stressed when left alone, but he’s come a long way from his first days at the ASPCA. While he’s a big fan of any and all humans, Tucker prefers to meet potential pup friends one-on-one first.
Dream home: Tucker would do best with an adopter who is willing to give him more training to help him become a mature and confident dog! He would prefer a home with children ages 6 and up.
Adoption Ambassador
As part of our adoption program, some of our feline and canine friends have the opportunity to live in foster homes. This allows our Adoption Center and Foster teams to learn more about each animal’s individual personality and needs, while they are in a more comfortable living space, outside of the shelter setting. Through our foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new pet will adjust to life in a permanent home. The goal of the Adoption Ambassador program is for these foster animals to be adopted directly from their foster home.
If you are interested in meeting one of our Adoption Ambassador animals, please first call our Adoptions department at (212) 876-7700 ext. 4120 to make an appointment. Our team will provide you with more information.
