Every autumn, the ASPCA creates a top-quality wall calendar that we give out to hundreds of thousands of our friends and supporters. These calendars feature ASPCA team members and their adopted petsand around the office, competition to make it into the calendar is pretty fierce!
We’re putting our 2011 calendar together right now, and staffers and volunteers representing all 12 months of the year have been photographed with their furry friends. There’s only one big decision left to make: Who should grace the calendar’s cover?
We’ve narrowed the field down to four contenders, but they’re all so cute that we can’t decideso we’re handing it over to you! Check out the photos that are in the running, read a little about their fabulous four-legged subjects, and then cast your vote by September 6 for our 2011 Cover Dog or Cat. The pet whose photo gets the most votes will have his or her face in homes all over America!
Deisel & Delila
Deisel is a sweet sausage of a dog who comes to the office sometimes with his pet parent, an ASPCA field responder. His best bud Delila is best described as “Chihuahua-esque,” except that she’s tall and lanky and weighs 25 pounds!
Hector
A stunning Siamese with an extensive vocabulary of meows, Hector is an urban sophisticate who has lived in Texas, California and New York. This social guy loves lounging with his two-legged friends, and from time to time, even enjoys cavorting with the canine kind.
Lloyd & Friends
Lloyd hails from the tough streets of New York City. Found as a stray, this master cuddler was adopted from the ASPCA by one of our behaviorists and is now living it up with his two Bostie sisters in the suburbs.
Daisy
Daisy is living proof that animal shelters are full of gems! This outgoing, loving pup wound up in a Minnesota shelter not once, but twice before being snatched up for good by her current family.
