People should not get the same punishment as what they did to animals! The judicial system is not like that. And an eye for an eye does nothing but bring more hate, violence into this world. I do not support the killing of animals or humans. Good for this woman to not be charged- to have a change to straighten herself out! Perhaps after her anger management and community service she will respect life more and feel awful for what she did. And after five years- have the privledge of owning a pet again. Surely people can change! I am very happy with this ruling. Animal abusers are still people. They do deserve to be happy and to live! I have a hard time believing that animals would want us to be so hateful to animal abusers. Animals are perfect and in my experience forgiving. Why would such loving, perfect, innocent animals want us to be so hateful? I think they would just want the abusers to stop, feel bad, take the punishments (if any) and move on with life. Animal abusers do need to grow up and start respecting life and themselves quite frankly- doing awful things to animals is not respecting oneself. If abusers will stop, change- I have no problems with them. Everyone deserves a second chance.

I can't really describe how i feel after watching the video. I get angry toward my two little dogs and sometime I just want to strangle them but I never go to distance like that woman. As much as i hate people who don't pick up after their pets, i can't stand animal abuser. Reading and watching this sort of news is sickening and i know i am going to get in trouble if this kind of situation happen in front of my eyes. How can anyone possibly torture an animal?! They are living creatures, and have feelings! Yes laws are good; however, people do not follow them. It's truly pathetic and unfortunate that our judicial system does not see dometicated animals as needing our help in their survival. "Domesticated" is just that! It's up to us (people) to feed and shelter these animals. I'm a true animal lover and the thought of people being able to inflict any injury on an animal, completely blows my mind. I really do not understand how people can do such a thing, they obviously have no conscious or heart. And the 'system' doesn't help at all because of the ridiculously minor penalties that are imposed. I agree with everyone who has posted. I just wish it didn't take a 'high profile' situation like Vick to make people see the light and make changes.

I don't understand how this sentence is truly punishment. If this were done to a person instead of an animal, there would be assault charges, maybe even attempted murder charges, and the sentence would be jail time (a lot more than 15 days too). This double standard is why violence still occurs towards animals, and even, people! Until a judge stands up and sentences a REAL punishment for abusing/killing animals, these kind of occurrences will never end. This big, fat beast abused an animal the was so much smaller than her because the poor dog relieved itself inside instead of out? Clean it up & deal!
