Subaru "Share the Love" Event Raises $1.4 Million for the ASPCA!
For the fifth year in a row, the ASPCA was honored to be selected as one of five national charities to participate in the Subaru “Share the Love” event from November 21, 2012, to January 2, 2013. During this year-end campaign, for each new vehicle purchased or leased, Subaru donated $250 to the new owner’s choice of five participating charities. As a result, approximately $1.4 million was raised for the ASPCA—100% of which has been granted out to animal welfare organizations in all 50 states. These grants support a wide variety of programs, including adoptions, spay/neuter, animal relocation and disaster response.
During “Share the Love,” the ASPCA Corporate Partnerships team once again matched shelters with local Subaru dealerships to host events and activities to promote pet adoption. A record 116 events took place, resulting in more than 1,300 adoptions. A complete list of grants can be viewed here [PDF].
